TEAMING UP WITH PARTRIDGE EXCAVATING & ELECTRICAL LTD.

Tyler Partridge had been working for 10 years in the Muskoka/Parry Sound area as a busy, successful electrician but felt he was still missing something in his work life. He grew up around machines and wanted more variety so four years ago, he and his wife, Nikki decided to expand their business and opened up Partridge Excavating & Electrical Ltd. They now provide their customers with complete landscaping including hardscape, excavating and electrical services for residential, recreational and commercial properties.

When Tyler first started his new company, he went to Bobcat of Parry Sound and rented a Bobcat® T550 compact track loader. He was so impressed with the machine, that he decided to sit down and talk numbers with Oliver Kahl, sales specialist for Bobcat of Parry Sound, and decided on purchasing his own Bobcat T550 compact track loader. When the Bobcat E60 compact excavator was first launched, he knew he had to have one. Shortly after the E60 compact excavator purchase, Tyler also purchased the Bobcat E35 R-series compact excavator.

Tyler says he chose Bobcat machines for many reasons, one being the serviceability of the machines. “You open up the door and you can easily get at all the parts. Another machine I had in the past, took me eight hours to get at a part, and I had to take everything out to get at it. Bobcat puts a lot of thought into the entire design of the machines. The cabs have superior comfort, great visibility, it’s a smooth ride, and has lots of power,” stated Tyler.

The Bobcat T550 compact track loader is used for running materials, for grading, for snow removal along with many Bobcat attachments on it as well (box blade, snowblower, forks, and buckets). For bigger landscape projects and excavations, they used the Bobcat E60 compact excavator with extend-a-boom. It picks up big rocks, works faster, has more reach, and they use the angle blade for driveways. The Bobcat E35 R-series compact excavator is more versatile. It can fit on any of their jobsites. Having such a variety of Bobcat attachments and how interchangeable they are between machines is another huge reason why they choose Bobcat machines.
